Oh, how we do love the
Ashmore! I may have said that exact thing before, in previous posts about the
Ashmore... but, it bears repeating! This one has had some very tasteful additions, but retains absolutely all of its original charm.
It's for sale right now (January 29, 2020) for... $1,895,000.00.
Let's just take a look at it!

Sears Ashmore in the 1920 Sears Modern Homes catalog. |

This fireplace nook is my favorite part of the Ashmore. This one has the original built-in bookcases, with the original leaded-glass inserts, and the original banquettes for seating. That trim is beautiful! |
|
The pool, and its pool house, did not come standard with the Ashmore :) Ha! But, what we do see here, is the left side of the house, with the side porch, now enclosed in glass. This is the side that you see in the catalog image (note the fireplace chimney). |
|
See? This is that side of the house. |
That's all I've got for you! Just wanted to showcase this beauty, and save the photos of the original sections of the house, for posterity. By the way, the listing gives 1930 as the build year for this home, but that can not be correct. This model was last offered in the 1924 Sears Modern Homes catalog.
